Places of people who have places to go to ...
A bit of info for those of you who weren't there in the late '60's and early
'70's, Brian Joseph was manager/roadie for the band. He played guitar in groups
which became Astigafa, but moved behind the scenes when Astigafa formed.
Mr. J retired and published a book of essays, one of
which tells about naming his sailboat ASTIGAFA. He sails and writes a lot
and goofs around with his site.
Indeed, Mr. J. (Uncle Bernie to many) was kind enough to allow the band to
practice in his basement for a couple of years until within thirty seconds of
the band starting, the police would show up. He loves to tell the story of how
he had to reglaze every window in the house because of the sound pressure levels
generated by an eight piece rock band with about 4000 watts of amplification,
playing several times a week. Check out all the gear in the early
basement area.
Zip (Frank) Picard was one of two keyboards in the band. He
played a piano which was a bear to move. One of the first true pianos which
had pickups in it. Zip wrote many great songs and loved his coffee.
Ron was also a manager/roadie/head technician for the group.
Ron made the deciding statements in many discussions about equipment, performance,
and where the band should go next. The studio on 11 mile in Royal Oak worked,
because of his knowledge.
Marshall...I remember what he said about being drunk up at
Steve's trailer, do you? I won't go into more detail since your kids may see
this site. But I do agree with you Marshall.
The Aaron Vaughn Band
Gary Sussman, Mike O'Brian and Aaron Ochoa play all of the hits.
Everytime I see them, they get the crowd jumping. Check out their site here.

Stewart Simon has a site and a company called Audio
Madness . He has a recording studio and also is a luthier.

My number two son, Tom is travelling Europe and has this website.
He posts every few days and many are hilarious to read.
How 'bout it guys, anyone else have a site to link to?
